Russ (he/him) helps people who don’t know each other, and sometimes don’t even like each other, change complex systems together. Having led the development of many of the core frameworks used at CoCreative and supported the development of over 50 networks, Russ also helps others develop their capacities to lead effective collaboration through mentoring, consulting, and advisory roles. His strength is supporting diverse groups to develop deep alignment, shared understanding, and shared strategies for shifting systems toward well-being for all.
Prior to launching CoCreative, Russ served as the chief business officer of Green America, a leader in developing economic strategies to advance social equity and environmental sustainability; served as managing director of US SIF, a membership organization for financial firms and institutional investors doing socially responsible investing; and founded the Green Business Network, the first network of triple-bottom-line businesses in the U.S.

Although my work explicitly focuses on shifting systems to support life, agency, and dignity, I usually think of my work as contributing to cultural evolution—supporting ways of knowing, being, and doing things that can give us all the invitation and opportunity to thrive.

While I love my work at CoCreative, I also enjoy tinkering with my old Honda Element, riding my motorcycle, and doing satisfying projects (that have a beginning and an end) around the house.
